OVERVIEW

The Racer X Fabrication 1ZZ Coil-on-Plug (COP) Kit for the 1991-1995 Toyota MR2 (3S-GTE Gen 2 & Gen 3) eliminates high-RPM ignition timing drift—which can drift as much as 5 to 10 degrees above 6000 RPM on stock distributor setups. By converting to a modern crank and cam trigger ignition, this system allows your engine management system to run optimal ignition timing without fear of timing belt stretch causing erratic readings.

In addition to boosting spark delivery and ignition precision, this kit completely eliminates the stock distributor cap, rotor, and ignition wires, removing routine maintenance items. Compatible across both Gen 2 and Gen 3 3S-GTE platforms, the kit features a billet cam trigger housing that keys to the intake camshaft, twin sealed bearings rated to 20,000 RPM, O-ring fluid seals, dual Cherry Hall sensors, and an anodized 1ZZ coil adapter mounting bracket.
