The air intake kit features Mishimoto's induction hose made from high-grade silicone, heat-resistant fibers, and embedded steel rings. Allowing for better airflow than the OEM hose, and will better withstand heat and vacuum pressure. The intake pipe itself is made from aluminum, with a CNC-machined MAF housing to ensure accurate readings from the sensor.

The air filter is an oiled type which allows for even greater airflow and provides a 16% increase in the filter surface area. It's fully serviceable, and Mishimoto recommends cleaning and re-oiling every 10,000 miles. The kit also includes an airbox for the filter to shield it from the engine's heat. This helps to reduce air intake temperature, allowing for more power gains.

Mishimoto claims a power boost of up to 7 horsepower and 5lb-ft of torque at the wheels. In our experience, the most noticeable difference from a performance air intake such as this is the noise. It won't result in a significantly louder noise, but it provides a nice throaty induction noise that will surely make you grin every time you put your foot down.
