Are you tired of worrying about when your throwout bearing might fail? Upgrade to the Ultimate throwing bearing and benefit from a much longer-lasting bearing with reduced wear and enhanced pedal feel.  Specifically designed for Toyota 86, Scion FRS, and Subaru BRZ, this upgrade fixes an ongoing design issue while providing a better pedal feel and modulation. 

We teamed up with Ezekiel Lee at CMAutohaus to finally fix a decade long issue with the OEM throwout bearing used on the TL70 ZN6 and ZN8 6 speed transmissions.  Ezekiel is a Subaru trained Master Tech and has serviced many, many, of these failed OEM throwout bearings over the years.  He was shocked to find that even the superceded part numbers from the manufacturer were a bandaid to the design, at best.  And then the new ZN8 came out and we realized it was the same thing all over again! So, we spent the better part of a year rapid prototyping and testing this solution on our own cars and customer cars.  We even sent a couple to Dirt Fish Rally School for abusive testing.  

CAD designed and carefully spec'd, our closed-face, sealed throwout bearing provides longer life than the OEM bearing equipped from the manufacturer, while the slick coating and grease channel on the bearing carrier improve longevity and feel. The Ultimate throwout bearing is the first and only solution that replaces the OEM bearing with a high-quality sealed bearing that prevents clutch material, dirt, and other debris from entering the system.

In addition to improved bearing life and reduced wear, the Ultimate throwing bearing's steel carrier also provides increased pedal feel, giving you more control and precision while driving. The added stiffness, especially when coupled with the Verus fork and pivot, allows you to use a siffer pressure plate, yet have notably less pedal effort.  Say goodbye to your stiff and squeaky clutch pedal, and hello to a smooth and silent pedal throw.

To make installation even easier, our OEM spec high-quality bearing will be pressed onto the bearing carrier.

RALLY TESTED!

Confident that our throwout bearing will outlast the OEM bearing even in the harshest conditions, we provided a couple of our throwout bearing kits to DirtFish Rally School. Here is what Ryan, their vehicle operations manager, had to say.

"Both the 'BGRS Ultimate Throwout Bearing' kits got installed into the cars in June (2023), now these cars have over 300 hour from the time of installation. over all the instructors like the feel and consistency of the pedal engagement over time. Also, everyone in the shop likes the robustness and serviceability of the bearing units. One of the cars had an engine failure around 200 hour after the bearing was installed but this gave us a chance to remove and inspect the throwout bearing. FITMENT

Ultimate Throwout Bearing has been designed to be a direct replacement for the OEM throwout bearing in the BRZ, FRS, GT86, 86, and GR86. Intended to be used with the stock clutch package or with Exedy replacement clutches. Other aftermarket brand clutches may not be compatible. We are working on verifying other clutches. We are not responsible for any fitment issues caused by using an unverified clutch package. Our throwout bearing upgrade has been designed to be a direct replacement for the OEM bearing. We used Exedy, OEM, and Toda clutch kits to test our throwout bearing upgrade. If you plan on using any other brand of clutch kit, please let us know so we can follow up with any issues. 

This bearing should work with just about all clutches on the market. However we are still creating a list below of confirmed fitments as reported by our customers to offer more peace of mind.

Reported compatibility issues: ACT- Issues with ACT pressure plate engagement being further than OEM. Issues cause by this design also affect OEM throwout bearings.
